GREAT AMERICAN FAMILY ANNOUNCES ‘GREAT AMERICAN SUMMER,’

EIGHT ORIGINAL AND CABLE TV MOVIE PREMIERES, BEGINNING AUG 5

NEW YORK, NY – July 26, 2023 – Summer is more than sunshine, adventure, and getting a tan. It’s also a time for carefree, heartfelt movies. Great American Family today announced eight new movie premieres as part of the network’s first-ever “Great American Summer” franchise, which begins Saturday, August 5 (8 p.m. ET) with the World Premiere of Romance at the Vineyard, starring Susie Abromeit (A Hot Cocoa Christmas, Love in Bloom) and Tim Ross (Romance on the Menu, “Wonderland”). In Romance at the Vineyard, a charismatic sales representative (Tim Ross) tries to convince the proprietors of a family vineyard to sell their property. Things get complicated when he gets pulled into helping the family’s granddaughter (Susie Abromeit) create a new blend to save the winery.

Great American Family is also launching rom com premieres on Monday nights in August beginning, Monday, August 7 (8 p.m. ET) with the premiere of Love on Repeat, starring Jen Lilley (A Paris Christmas Waltz, B&B Merry) and Andrew Lawrence (Mistletoe Mix-Up, Love Is in Bel Air). In Love on Repeat, when architect Amber (Jen Lilley) finds herself in limbo, re-living the same day repeatedly, she attempts to make changes in her professional and personal life that will save her from the cycle.

Unlikely Angel, a Pure Flix Original, starring Jillian Murray (A Brush with Christmas, Christmas in the Pines) and Aaron Mees (Christmas in the Pines, Amazed by You) has its cable television premiere, Saturday, August 12 (8 p.m. ET). Janie (Jillian Murray) is a power player in the boardroom but is falling apart at the thought of becoming a new mom. A silent prayer is answered when an Angel intervenes and fast forwards her life so she can learn to trust God and her purpose.

Wedding Cake Dreams starring Donna Benedicto (“Supergirl,” “Supernatural”) and Markian Tarasuik (“Virgin River,” Why Can’t My Life Be a Rom-Com?) premieres, Monday, August 14 (8 p.m. ET). As a young girl, Carrie Watson (Donna Benedicto) placed a piece of wedding cake under her pillow because her mother told her the tradition would make her love dream come true. Two decades later, Carrie is shocked to discover the man she dreamed about is at her younger sister’s wedding.

Summertime Soulmates starring Jenna Michno (Hearts Under the Olive Tree, The Perfect Wedding Match) and Christian Howard (Novel Love) premieres, Saturday, August 19 (8 p.m. ET). In Summertime Soulmates, a conventional curator facing financial crises (Jenna Michno) works with an avant-garde artist (Christian Howard) to develop an unconventional exhibit.

Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters, a Pure Flix Original, starring Robyn Lively (The Karate Kid Part III, Letters to God) and Bart Johnson (High School Musical, High School Musical 2), has its cable television premiere, Monday, August 21 (8 p.m. ET). In Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters, a wealthy businessman (Bart Johnson) learns of his daughter’s (Carrie Alexander) sudden engagement to a missionary and makes it his mission to make sure she is closer to home. When his efforts go awry, he is forced to reconsider what being a strong father really means.

Dream Wedding starring Rebecca Dalton and Jesse Hutch (Blessings of Christmas, B&B Merry) premieres, Saturday, August 26 (8 p.m. ET). Sisters Kate (Rebecca Dalton) and Megan (Christa Taylor Brown) attend a local wedding fair and jokingly enter Kate in a raffle for a dream wedding package, though she has no current plans to marry. When Kate wins, the sisters must put on a show or be mortified by the joke gone awry.

Learning to Love , a Pure Flix Original, starring Ina Barrón (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Royal Pains”) and Philip Boyd (“The Haves & The Have Nots”) has its cable television premiere, Saturday, September 2 (8 p.m. ET). Harry (Philip Boyd) and his two daughters lose faith after his wife and daughters’ mom passes. The family hires a nanny and are pleasantly surprised by Steph (Ina Barrón) who brings never-ending warmth, positivity, and faith into the home.

Beloved 2024 Parade Theme: “Celebrating a World of Music”

NEW YORK, NY – July 20, 2023 – Great American Media and the Pasadena Tournament of Roses® Association proudly announce one of the world’s most beloved events, the 135th Rose Parade® Presented by Honda has a new cable television home, Great American Family, and will be seen LIVE from Pasadena, California, January 1, 2024 (8 a.m. PT). The agreement is a multi-year deal which reunites leadership at Great American Media with the Pasadena Tournament of Roses.

The 2024 Rose Parade theme is, “Celebrating a World of Music,” and features 20 of the world’s best marching bands from America’s hometowns and bedrock national institutions, as well as, from diverse corners of the world. The iconic Rose Parade is truly America’s celebration of hope and promise as state-of-the-art floats bedecked with flowers and other natural materials glide 5 ½ miles from Orange Grove Blvd., past the stately former Wrigley Mansion (now home to the Tournament of Roses) before making a turn down famed Colorado Blvd. where millions view the spectacle. For those not along the parade route, Great American Family welcomes all on New Year’s Day to the 135th Rose Parade with its majestic floats, equestrians, marching bands, entertainment performances, and the traditional flyover the San Gabriel Mountains by the U.S. Air Force B-2 Spirit.
