NEW YORK, NY – April 2, 2026 – Great American Media announced An Accidental Arctic Christmas, reuniting beloved Great American stars Cameron Mathison (Home Sweet Anniversary, A Merry Christmas Wish) and Jill Wagner (“Lioness,” A Merry Christmas Wish) premiering as part of the upcoming all-star Great American Christmas on Great American Pure Flix, Great American Family, and GFAM+.

In An Accidental Arctic Christmas, single dad, Jim (Mathison) and his spirited, science-minded 20-year-old daughter, Isla (Maya Rose Skabar), share a tradition of alternating who decides how they spend Christmas each year. Jim, a former major league baseball player turned broadcaster, never misses hosting his annual Christmas Eve show from Times Square – until Isla persuades him to take a once-in-a-lifetime Arctic cruise, promising they will return in time for his broadcast.
When a timing mix-up leaves them stranded in an arctic town after their ship departs without them, their carefully planned holiday quickly turns into an unforgettable adventure. With no planes, trains, or automobiles available, they must rely on wildlife conservationist Jane (Wagner) and her rugged tundra buggy to navigate the frozen wilderness. As they journey through the awe-inspiring Arctic – from the glow of the Aurora Borealis to the famed Polar Bear Capital of the World—Isla embraces the glory of nature, Jim wrestles with letting go of control, and Jane brings heart and charm to the path forward.
This is Bure’s third film for the 2026 holiday lineup. The “Queen of Christmas” stars in Home Sweet Anniversary with co-star Mathison, the third film in the Home Sweet franchise and sequel to last year’s successful theatrical film, Another Sweet Christmas. NEW YORK, NY – July 6, 2023 – Great American Family announced today Jill Wagner (A Merry Christmas Wish, Christmas Miracle For Daisy) and Paul Greene (I’m Glad It’s Christmas, “When Calls the Heart”) are set to star in the new holiday original movie, Bringing Christmas Home, which will premiere as part of the network’s annual Great American Christmas franchise. Great American Christmas returns October 20 with original movie premieres Saturdays and Sundays, and 24/7 holiday movies through the end of the year. Holiday films fans need not wait until October as Great American Christmas in July returns to air on Great American Family beginning Friday, June 30 (6 p.m. ET).
In Bringing Christmas Home, retired military officer, now Military History professor, Caroline Upton (Wagner) is enlisted to assist antiques store owner, Russell Carlisle (Greene) in finding the family of WWII Army officer Orin Newton before Christmas with the hope of returning precious personal artifacts – Orin’s dress uniform, medals, and a stack of love letters from his beloved Alice who waits for him back home. Epaulettes and insignia provide initial clues, though the search seems to dead end when Caroline discovers Orin was captured and listed as MIA. Caroline and Russell then search the love letters for clues as to what happened to Orin and whether he ever made it home to Alice.
