           NEW YORK, NY – April 9, 2026 – Great American Media today announced an exclusive overall deal with actress Jillian Murray, with production now underway on The Trouble With Mistletoe, the first film under the new agreement. The film will be a World Premiere as part of the 6th Annual Great American Christmas franchise. Murray (Mario Lopez Presents: Chasing Christmas, A Little Women’s Christmas) stars opposite Brett Varvel (“County Rescue,” “Running the Baes”) in the Original Christmas feature. The Trouble With Mistletoe is adapted from USA Today bestselling author Jennifer Snow’s novel.

            Set in the charming town of Brookhollow, The Trouble With Mistletoe follows an acquisitions executive (Murray) who returns home for Christmas and unexpectedly reconnects with the former fiancé (Varvel) she left behind. As the traditions of her hometown rekindle old memories, she begins to wonder if the life she walked away from may still be the one meant for her.

          NEW YORK (April 9, 2026) —  Great American Media today announced America Sings the Anthem, a nationwide initiative encouraging  individuals and groups to celebrate their love of the country by of singing The Star-Spangled Banner as part of the ongoing celebration of America’s 250th birthday.

Submissions open April 9 and will be accepted through May 25, 2026 and select performances will be featured across Great American Media platforms as part of a national showcase highlighting voices across the country. “The National Anthemis a reminder of America’s exceptionalism and the sacrifices behind the freedoms we enjoy,” said Bill Abbott, President & CEO of Great American Media. “As we approach America’s 250th, we wanted to create something that helps us pause and celebrate our country.”

As part of the initiative, featured submissions will help open the broadcast day on Great American Family, with select voices invited to lead the 6:00 a.m. sign-on with their performance of the national anthem. These moments are designed to reflect a wide range of families, communities, and traditions, offering a meaningful way to begin the day across the country.

America Sings the Anthem is open to individuals and groups of all ages, including churches, schools, choirs, military families, and community organizations. Participants are invited to record their performance wherever they are, whether at home, in their place of worship, on a school stage, or in their community.

There are no rankings or winners. Instead, submissions will be reviewed for inclusion, with featured performances representing a broad cross-section of voices, styles, and communities from across the nation.

            In An Accidental Arctic Christmas, single dad, Jim (Mathison) and his spirited, science-minded 20-year-old daughter, Isla (Maya Rose Skabar), share a tradition of alternating who decides how they spend Christmas each year. Jim, a former major league baseball player turned broadcaster, never misses hosting his annual Christmas Eve show from Times Square – until Isla persuades him to take a once-in-a-lifetime Arctic cruise, promising they will return in time for his broadcast.

            When a timing mix-up leaves them stranded in an arctic town after their ship departs without them, their carefully planned holiday quickly turns into an unforgettable adventure. With no planes, trains, or automobiles available, they must rely on wildlife conservationist Jane (Wagner) and her rugged tundra buggy to navigate the frozen wilderness. NEW YORK, NY – February 10, 2026 – Great American Media announced today a new creative partnership with bestselling author, Melissa Ferguson to adapt her popular novel, Meet Me in the Margins, and a brand-new novel to be released closer to the holidays, The Christmas Yes List, into the company’s newest Original Movies for 2026. Meet Me in the Margins, starring Merritt Patterson and Liam McIntyre is currently in production.

            Known for her heartfelt storytelling, faith-forward themes, and charming romantic comedies, Ferguson has become a favorite among readers of Christian romance and romantic comedy novels. Both adaptations will be developed for Great American Pure Flix, Great American Family, and GFAM+, enriching the company’s robust content library with even more uplifting Original stories grounded in faith, family, and meaningful connections.

First Film in New Deal, Meet Me in the Margins, Adapted from Best Selling Author,Melissa Ferguson’s Novel

NEW YORK, NY – February 5, 2026 – Great American Media today announced an exclusive multi-picture agreement with beloved romantic comedy and holiday leading lady, Merritt Patterson, further strengthening the company’s commitment to delivering uplifting, feel-good Originals for audiences who crave heartfelt storytelling. The company also announces the first film of the new deal is Meet Me in the Margins, adapted from bestselling author Melissa Ferguson’s novel of the same name. Meet Me in the Margins is scheduled to go into production in Spring.

In Meet Me in the Margins, Patterson stars as a book editor who secretly pens her own romance manuscript, only to find unexpected editorial notes from a mysterious critic in the margins. The film is a witty, heartwarming story about finding love between the lines.

Patterson is a proven rom com favorite whose performances have helped make her one of the most recognizable faces in the genre.
